Default It All Started with some crummy Chads in Florida

Do you think the US Govt would be spending so much money and time trying to hassle some poker players if some friggin chads had not screwed up the election in Florida in 2000?

It wasn't the chads. The election was rigged, and Al Gore was a pussy who conceded before a full recount could have proven him the winner.

No, because the Republican Congress would have passed the anti-online gambling legislation anyway, and I highly doubt a President Gore or Kerry would have vetoed the Port Security Bill just because of the Frist/Kyl ammendment.

However, if either the House or Senate were controlled by Democrats, there is no way this crap would have ever been brought up for a vote.
