Default Blind Fines

In my home game if you have not posted your blind by the time the last hole card is dealt you must pay a fine equivilent to the blind.

Is this fair

This is about as stupid as the local out of turn action rule in the home games I've been invited to here... any out of turn action results in dead hand and forced dead call of any action until the out-of-turn actor would have been able to act in turn.

Why are you doing this? does it really make a difference whether the blind get posted before the cards are dealt?

Its not a question of fair or not? If everyone is aware of the rule up front then its not unfair. Its a matter of there is no reason to do this.

Unless there is an epidemic of failure to post in time, I agree that this is pointlessly nitty. However, KITN to the people who don't pay attention regularly and also for the dealer who isn't running the game properly.

Blinds get missed all the time. especially when the beer starts flowing. Post the blind, get on with life.

I've played in casinos a lot. blinds get missed there too. It's no big deal.

If he one of those guys that misses every single time just yell "CATCH A F#@$@# CLUE n00b!!! k thx." that should fix it.

WTF "a fine"?

Tell the guy to post his blind, "a fine" is ultra-retarded.

If he is unable to perform this task, then reach over and grab his blind from his stack and do it for him. You will get his attention real soon after.

This seems silly. Just tell him to put the blind out.

Sorry I should make a correction, it's not MY home game it's a game I play in. Also it's me that gets fined the most! Although I did manage to pay attention last game and only paid one fine I think.
