I would think that this would certainly qualify as fraud, and might certainly qualify as money laundering.

in either case, I certainly can't advocate bypassing the restrictions Pinnacle is putting in place through fraud. I seriously contemplated just outright deleting this thread, but I'll leave it up for now. Lets veer away from the fraud talk though - if there's anything else on the actual topic of expatriating to discuss.

I found this article from Harpers on actually renouncing citizenship interesting: http://www.harpers.org/ElectingToLeave.html

Not that its necessary at all in this case, as just moving outside the US seems to be all Pinny cares about.

Where is the fraud occuring? You got a Canadian Bank account legally, you will be paying for a Canadian IP address/server/whatever legally and you will be paying for the rights to a Canadian address to use for mailing purposes legally. If asked for documention you will be giving them your legit papers, not Photoshop papers you made up.

I mean according to the US government and the current legal issues the 2 founders of Neteller are going through all of us are already committing crimes in the governments eyes.

Sportsbetting whether by phone or online is being viewed as illegal by our current government, whether they have actual laws to fall back on to support these views is another issue. God bless this wonderful country.

You are right Performify, doing the above isn't quite legit but I don't see it as fraud. But the government will probably view it as money laundering to help fund terrorism and lock us all up for the rest of our lives. I mean if you bet against the Patriots you must be a terrorist. From one point of view you'd be defrauding Pinnacle. They are attempting to comply with US laws (no matter how unjust) and our hypothetical "fake Canadian" here would be in violation of their terms of service, certainly. And regardless of legality, we all know violating the TOS of a gambling site is never a good idea regarding the security of your online bankroll...

With the research ive done, it looks like a vps would
be too slow to transmit the graphics from the server
to your computer (client).

Looks like a virtual dedicated server may be the answer.

If anyone is currently using such a setup or has knowledge
of how effecient this would be, please reply or pm me.

I have a slightly different problem. I am a US citizen. But i live in Bangkok. I have been here 4 years, have a work payment, have a bank account. its all legit.

But my neteller address is still USA so i am SOL

I tried to open an new account with Netteller with my Thailand address. But Thailand isnt a country they accept as an address.

I also have a bank account in Singapore.

Any ideas here? Can i have a US address in Neteller but fund with either my thailand or singapore account?

good idea...unfortunately, Canada won't let me inside its borders. A real shame as the Vancouver area seems awesome.

the trip report I did in OOT explains it. I was a youth of questionable recreational activities. Drug free since '99 though
