I had mine done sophmore or junior year of high school cause I couldn't breathe out of my nose. ALl I remember is waking up being devestated from the surgery, nose filled with about 30 pounds of gauze. The following day was doctors visit where he pulled some bloody and really red gauze from my nose and for a split second I could breathe threw my nose, then it ended and probably filled back with more blood and he gauzed it up. I just remember this healing process taking forever. In fact, a couple of days later I went back to the doctor thinking he had removed all of the gauze when he pulled out a piece of gauze that was probably a foot long. All in all, it was a good operation and I am happy it was done as now I can breathe out of my nose. Go for it.

this is almost my exact story. i had mine done over my winter break during my sr year in high school. i think i had the final bandages/gauze removed from my nose just as i was returning to school (2 weeks total from surgery to complete removal). when they remove that gauze it seriously feels like its coming out of your brain. they shove it way up into your sinus cavity. didnt really hurt when they pulled it out, but there was a TON of blood, both dried on the gauze and new fresh warm blood.

i had about 90% blockage in my right nostril before the surgery and now i have both sides completely clear. i also have bad asthma so before the surgery my breathing was a mess.

DEFINITELY get this done if you can. my parents insurance covered everything because it was considered a medical problem and not just a cosmetic thing. feel free to PM me if you have any questions, etc.

I had it done.
Recovery was absolute hell, and I'm not kidding.

that, and it only seemed to work for a few years

for me, i got mine done when i was 17 and im 31 now and there have been no problems at all since.

as for recovery: yea, i mean, it was pretty painful, but just stay hopped up on pain pills (might want to get some before the surgery from an "outside" source in case yr dr doesnt rx you enough). plus, i had to sleep pretty much straight up so that i wouldnt roll on my nose and muck the whole thing up. there mightve been some vomitting of dried blood as well. regardless, its worth it if its causing you some loss of breathing.
