Default Neteller: Will they fork over records?

So anybody think Neteller might cut a deal to hand over US customer records to get the US government off their backs?

Boy am I glad I've declared everything always.

At the very least it is motivation to file a legit 2006 return. It sure is nice my account is so old they don't have my social even though my returns are legit.

I don't think they will, though I don't care either way. I just want my money.

I thought that even currently, they only asked for the last 4 digits of your SS#. There's no way they can identify you by the last 4 I assume, is there? Multiple people have to have the same 4 #s.

They would have no reason to cut a deal because "Neteller" the company is currently in no legal trouble.

It's the two founders of the company who are now just shareholders that were arrested. They should not have access any longer to any company records.

Got,

Quite likely. Paypal went through a similar process w/ the government (both state and federal) to basically be allowed to conduct their primary business in the US.

I'm very very glad-- Have a lot of friends sweating it out though.

To all the people who think the government can't trace you without your social, think again. Your name and address is enough.

You're telling me that they could find out who I am just by knowing my name, address, and phone number?

I call [censored] on you.
