Default 100 NL; T8 suited cbet called on flop; rivers flush - then surpise

6 Max

Villian is 50.93/15.42/1.00 postflop agg. over 214 hands.

Couple of questions:

Flop: No real questions I guess. Do you bet? Any comments?

Turn:
I was talking with my friend about this hand and he said he'd double barrel the turn and if he missed the river he might triple barrel it to fold weak aces. I disagreed. I don't think I'll be able to fold anything on the turn that didn't fold the flop and I don't think a 3 barrel would be effective enough. I just wanted to take my free card to try to complete the draw.

River:
Enough value to squeeze out of here by raising? Then what do we do when he pushes?

My immediate instinct with the check/call from your opponent says he's on a flush draw like yourself. When he checks the turn, for sure a flush draw.

I have to agree with your friend to be honest. I think a second 3/4-full pot barrel on the turn will get this guy to fold a lot of hands unless he's a complete plum and can't lay a draw down. If the flush does come on the river, I wouldn't 3-barrel. If it didn't, I think it would be a good spot to 3-barrel. He has shown absolutely no aggression until the very end of the hand when his card comes. I'm sure you'd get him to fold weak aces if it didn't though.

FYI, I'd also make the flop bet more convincing. minimum 3/4 c-bet. I reckon he was on a flush draw but for barely half-pot, I bet you'd get this guy calling with a range of junk that could outdraw you.

P.S. I'd make a reluctant call on the river. There are only two flush draws that beat you and I rule out boats as he probably would have re-raised preflop with As or Qs.

50.93/15.42 .. this guy is going no where with any piece of the board me thinks. Especialy not with a good flushdraw. If we had a combo draw iŽd like a double barrel, but not with the bare fdraw.

i play it the same, and on good days fold the river. His weak river lead is either an ace/queen/pocket pair trying to see a cheap showdown, or flush/boat trying to get you to raise.

This is nuts, weak Aces are rarely folding here, especially with the paired board they'll talk themselves into believing that they are chopping at worst.

I think I fold the river. The pot is big enough that he can't expect you to fold much so that means he thinks he is winning which suggests he has flush or better.
