NL50 Full ring - is folding too weak?
Unfortunately I don't have useful reads on villains.
Hand #1: Poker Stars No Limit Holdem Ring game Blinds: $0.25/$0.50 9 players Converter Stack sizes: UTG: $52 UTG+1: $14.80 MP1: $57.55 MP2: $36.80 Hero: $47.25 CO: $18.75 Button: $37.90 SB: $35.05 BB: $55.35 Pre-flop: (9 players) Hero is MP3 with J[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] J[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] UTG folds, UTG+1 calls, 2 folds, <font color="#cc0000">Hero raises to $2.5</font>, 2 folds, SB calls, 2 folds. Flop: 5[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] 4[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] Q[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] ($6, 2 players) SB checks, <font color="#cc0000">Hero bets $3.5</font>, <font color="#cc0000">SB raises to $7</font>, <font color="blue">Hero ???</font> Can I call here? If so, then what's my plan on the turn? Is it weak to fold? Make a bigger bet on the flop? Hand #2: Poker Stars No Limit Holdem Ring game Blinds: $0.25/$0.50 8 players Converter Stack sizes: UTG: $197 UTG+1: $32.10 MP1: $79.20 MP2: $29 CO: $50.05 Button: $50 SB: $45 Hero: $49.50 Pre-flop: (8 players) Hero is BB with 7[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] 5[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] 4 folds, CO calls, Button folds, SB calls, Hero checks. Flop: 7[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] J[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] 7[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] ($1.5, 3 players) SB checks, <font color="#cc0000">Hero bets $1.5</font>, CO calls, SB calls. Turn: 3[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] ($6, 3 players) SB checks, <font color="#cc0000">Hero bets $3.5</font>, CO calls, <font color="#cc0000">SB raises to $10</font>, <font color="blue">Hero ???</font> I come from limit, and such things are almost always a calldown. I have a hardtime folding these hands sometimes, but would it be likely he bets with something less than a better 7 ? Should I have made a potsize bet on the turn? Hand #3: Poker Stars No Limit Holdem Ring game Blinds: $0.25/$0.50 9 players Converter Stack sizes: UTG: $80.50 UTG+1: $11.75 Hero: $50 MP2: $14.55 MP3: $78 CO: $29.25 Button: $51.05 SB: $42.75 BB: $48 Pre-flop: (9 players) Hero is MP1 with K[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] Q[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] 2 folds, <font color="#cc0000">Hero raises to $2</font>, MP2 folds, MP3 calls, CO calls, 3 folds. Flop: 3[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] 5[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] K[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] ($6.75, 3 players) <font color="#cc0000">Hero bets $3.5</font>, MP3 folds, <font color="#cc0000">CO raises to $7</font>, <font color="blue">Hero ???</font> What's my plan if I call or raise? |

Re: NL50 Full ring - is folding too weak?
Why all the weak lead bets? You are just asking to get raised and of course horrible villians love the mini-raise--making our decision even harder in these spots.

Re: NL50 Full ring - is folding too weak?
Hand #1 - You've been CRed. Know what this means? It means villian likes his hand and has no problems with the texture of the board. You're whooped here. Fold.
Hand #2 - Would like to hear what others have to say. I'm having a hard time laying this down, but I don't especially like my kicker here if that's what it's coming down to. I will most likely try to get to a cheap showdown, dunno. Hand #3 - Flop bet looks weak to your opponent. I'd have bet closer to ~$6. Not sure if he'd have respected your bet in that case, but, yeah, you're in a predicament right now. Onaflag........ |

Re: NL50 Full ring - is folding too weak?
fold hand 1
call and c/c a reasonable river bet for most opponents, or go for a check minraise on the river against a super megadonk at least 5 on the flop, fold to a raise vs most reasonable opponents. |
