I don't think it would be a bad thing if some big name pros got arrested. They would no doubt fight it, it would generate alot of publicity, and the public would finally realize how [censored] retarded the govt. is being and it might lead to changes.

[/ QUOTE ]

LOL No, no matter how retarded the govt. gets, it never leads to changes. They have an endless supply of money to spin a situation into their favor.

They put Martha Stewart in jail for lying to them. Most people think Martha went to jail for other reasons. Actually, the only thing she was convicted on was lying to a federal agent. That's retarded!!!!

They murdered a woman several years ago who was holding a baby in her arms and a small early teenaged boy in Idaho. While trying to entrap the woman's husband into becoming an informant. That's retarded!!!!!

Most people believe that those people got what they deserved. The govt. has the money and power to make you believe what they want.

The list goes on and on and on!!!!!!!!

There is never any public outrage, and there is never any changes. Because if any pros ever do get arrested, the govt. will mount a massive spin campaign that will have the public right in the palms of their hands.

There will probably be some tax charges filed on a few pros before all this is over. The DOJ has already announced this would be a joint effort with IRS along with several other federal and state agencies. You take on govt. and your going to lose. It is huge and there is absolutely no accountability at all.

Once upon a time some people where adversely affected by unfair tax laws. Seems that change occurred. Oh and then of course once upon a time you couldn't drink booze legally and well then of course we had gangsters, mobs, speakeasies etc and again the law changed.

Don't be so fast to bend down to the government when they are clearly wrong. There are an estimated 4 to 6 million of us. We have a voice -- we can actually impact elections...

Speak up!

We are taxed now by unfair tax laws (that's where the govt. gets the endless supply of money that I mentioned earlier).

Prohibition was a 13 year stretch where it was national and then was eventually turned back over to the states to enforce. It was never fully lifted. Mississippi was a dry state until 1966 and many states still have dry counties and regions.

Bad examples.

That won't ever happen. For the most part, Americans are too comfortable in their lives to shake anything up. They just don't have the time, or they'd rather be working hard to get more toys, or playing with the toys they already have.

Our forefathers would be ashamed at how complacent we have become.

Everyone thus far has been prosecuted under the Wire Act. The Wire Act was passed to stop sports bookies and (probably) does not apply to gaming sites that do not allow sports gambling. No officers of poker only sites have been arrested.

It looks like it's getting there. I for one hope none of the pros get locked up and I mean none.
