OP,

Your line is fine.
Note that villain doesn't checkraise you - it is just a plain old raise.

With fewer players to the flop or a raised pot preflop I'd be more likely to bet full pot on flop as the likelihood of a flopped flush is lower with the tighter ranges (5-7%) and the FD is about 2-3x this.

I'd raised the pot raised pf but I definitely had more than my fair share of callers.

Worked out okay this time, but I can definitely see Pineapple's POV too. Even as I won, I wondered whether I'd made the right play. Anyhow, thanks for all of the comments. Here are the results...

Noooooooooooooooooohhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!!!!!!

It's just the opposite: Insta-push.

I know this is wrong in theory, but at this level, the best way to play that hand is to push it! You will looses to a made flush sometimes, but You can't believe how many people will call You with draws. The situation here is even better, because it could be that You get 2 callers with flush draws, both having one out less.

I play $25 NL and had a strange streak of flopped sets or overpairs on one suited flops for several weeks. The crazy streak was a bit painful, because I had to be scared of possible flushs so many times. But instead of paying attention to pot control, I played these hands as wreckless as possible. The latest street I had my money all-in was the turn, I lost 1 or 2 times to a made flush, but I won so many pots and all-ins to flush chasers, I couldn't believe it.

So I strongly recommend to play these hands very fast. Overbet the pot or move all-in. If You overbet and get called, move all-in on the turn. You will find out that it works pretty well in the micros, because there are tons of fishes chasing the draw. They pay you of and you can overcome the very few times when you run into the made hand!

I just don't know if I like the turn bet, I think smaller flop bet would achieve the same thing and then you could c/c turn and river, I think that is a better line.

[/ QUOTE ]

This advice is just plain wrong.

I'd never allow a free turn card for a naked heart to outdraw. IMO you played this hand just about perfectly. The result does not matter.

I seem to like the way you play.
Why are you not winning more?
