Re: Pokerstars echecks
Same with FT, just have to make a deposit first. Make min. deposit and turn around and withdraw it all. $2.00 charge for each transaction.

Ok, this is all good for getting money IN to sites. Now, without Neteller, how do we get our money OUT back into a US bank account? [/ QUOTE ] You have to make an initial deposit via Stars eCheck then you can use eCheck for withdrawal too. No fees. Direct to your checking account. |

Re: Pokerstars echecks
When someone uses this feature at PS or FTP, please post to let us know how it went, specifically how long it took for the funds to show up in your bank account.

This doesn't seem to be working right now in stars, but I have used it before and it is pretty handy.

Re: Pokerstars echecks
[ QUOTE ]
[ QUOTE ] If reputable banks want to accept these e-checks on behalf of the poker sites the US regulators and prosecutors are going to have to take a proactive role in finding the accounts; the banks won't abasorb the financial or man-hour costs to do it for them. [/ QUOTE ] I believe there are technical ways to figure out if it's a gamboling transaction. In a similar way to how you can't use a credit card to buy in to poker sites. I'm not an expert on this stuff. You may want to consult some of the threads from just after the law was passed. All this info is there. [/ QUOTE ] I am nearly positive that the posters in those threads (I read them and posted in much trying to express the same point I am to you know) don;t understand the strength of the banking lobby in the US or the complexities and cost of proactively monitoring both sides of checking in this country. Now, the willingness of American banks to accept the credit card prohibition has more to do with the dissimilarities between credit cards and checks than their commonalities. Remember, credit cards are approved *at the time* of the transaction and checks can deposited hours, days and even weeks later. So, there is already a means to check the vailidity of that transaction as it occurs. Further, credit cards *make* far money for banks while checking accounts at many banks (think Washington Mutual) have become loss leaders to build branmd loyalty for other more proiftable financial instruments down the road (mortgages, IRAs, CDs etc.) If the burden of regulation of checking accounts were to fall on the banks, the cost of doing business may actually threaten the continued availability of free checking here. And how do I know this? For a lot of reasons, not the least of which was that at the time the bill was being passed the banking lobby was arguing these exact points. |

http://www.fulltiltpoker.com/payInstantEChecks.php Here's the echeck info from fulltilt. Doesn't this seem too good to be true? Why were we using neteller at all? Is this indeed the type of thing that will be outlawed when the law goes into effect? For those paranoid and wishing to withdraw everything, should they go ahead and use this now? [/ QUOTE ] it's not good for high stakes players.. you can only deposit $1000 per day. http://www.fulltiltpoker.com/payPopTier.php#hot |
