Forest Fawn has been a LAG all game raising bets and calling a lot of raises. I have been playing a small ball approach through out the tournament, raising with a fair share of hands and taking down small pots. Have not shown down a big hand yet. I pick up 9d-7d on the cut off and decide to limp to change things up because I have been raising a lot when in position. Button limps, small blind completes the bet and big blind checks. Flop is very interesting as it gives me a flush draw with an inside straight draw. It is checked to me so I bet a probe bet of a little less than half the pot. I get mini raised by the LAG player. Easy call to make on the flop. Here is where I think I made my first mistake, I check to him and he bets 750. The pot odds are about 3-1 and I have at best 10 outs facing him. Given those odds, I should fold. But I believe that I could get a good sized pot if I do hit my draw so I call. Then the card hits me on the river giving me a straight and I check to him and he checks behind. That is where I think I made another possible mistake. I think I played that hand pretty poorly and got lucky to win it. I made a lot of silly errors in that hand.

How should I have played this hand?

Preflop:

folding = raising > calling

Limping PF is really gross with your stack size and currenty blinds.

I don't really like the check /call on the turn. A bet there would be appropriate since, 1 it could flush out perhaps a bluff or weak hand, 2 limit the bet you would have to call also known as a block bet. I also think you could of extracted maybe 300 on the river seeing how he had bet on all the streets, he would more often then not call the river bet just to see if he can take it down cheeply.

Call more.

u called 1250 drawing to a 4 outer and u hit it and...check?

*edit. u had the flush draw = not 4 outer. nice check still. bet 800-1000 on river next time and hope he shoves. open limping from the CO is the suck.

Depending on table dynamic, image, etc

At a lot of tables, raising > folding > calling
At looser tables, folding > raising > calling

Fold or Raise preflop, limping in on the CO is horrid IMO.
