VILLAIN Checks

Bet the turn?

My read is villain will play an Ace from any position, but I'm also concerned about giving a free card for J,10 or a hand w/ 2 diamonds...or now 2 spades.

So villain checked to you? (change your format to 2+2, not flopturnriver)

Any decent sized bet on the turn will commit villain. I might check behind and call a river bet if it's a safe card. 2 diamonds are a more likely holding than 2 spades.

This is pretty important, edit your post to say what villian does on the turn.

If checked to I think you can bet 2/3-3/4 of the pot to get draws out, maybe your flop bet was a bit small. If called I check behind on the river if checked to. Can villian fold a weak ace or are they more of a CS?

I would usually check turn through and call a reasonable river bet.
