Re: Top Pair, bet the river?
[/ QUOTE ]Does the Villain bet this river without a 4 or Q, knowing he has to beat the SB as well as the Hero? [/ QUOTE ] After all that checking in previous hands, some would DEFINATELY bet an 8 |

[ QUOTE ] Bet the river. [/ QUOTE ] The pot's protected isn't it? Does the Villain bet this river without a 4 or Q, knowing he has to beat the SB as well as the Hero? [/ QUOTE ] Hero doesnt know that villain is going to bet. There is a high chance that heros nice pair is going to get checked-through. And as said before, there is a very low chance that someone with a lone queen will raise you. Youre gonna call anyway, arent you? But betting out is better because there are lots of hands you beat that will still call you. |

Re: Top Pair, bet the river?
i bet the river. Someone with a weaker J or an 8 might call if they are real fish. It was checked to you again, you should bet.
While a couple might fold because they were chasing a gutshot or overcards maybe, you will still get called by hands you beat enough to bet. Bet. |
