Re: (78) Incredibly mundane TPNK hand.
looks ok, in a 3 way (and definitely HU) pot i like to bet/fold so i dont have to stay guessing through 1 or 2 more streets, but your line is ok.

Re: (78) Incredibly mundane TPNK hand.
After SB checks, I bet t45ish and shut down after that.
I would check with 3+ opponents. I would not call an overbet with your hand. |

Re: (78) Incredibly mundane TPNK hand.
I'm a nit but I just normally check/fold this kinda crap. You're never gunna win a big pot here so I just don't see the worth.
I certainly wouldn't call UTG+1's overbet tho. That's spewing a bit. |

Re: (78) Incredibly mundane TPNK hand.
I usually bet the flop for maybe 40 here. After that i'm check/folding (if somebody bets turn/river really small i might call that depending on board).

Re: (78) Incredibly mundane TPNK hand.
I don't like the flop call at all. If he wants those 60 chips that badly, he can have them, IMO.
Normally, I would've just bet out 50 on this flop and go from there. |

Re: (78) Incredibly mundane TPNK hand.
I usually c/c the flop here. Facing an overbet I might fold. Eventhough an overbet is rarely a better hand, he will rarely overbet flop check turn.

[/ QUOTE ] I had gotten this c/c advice specifically from you, Pudge, on hands like this. The overbet, however, was different. And the only reason I called was I've been seeing a rash of overbets like this and they've all been draws or less than top pair. Which is why the 7h on the turn was horrible. |

Re: (78) Incredibly mundane TPNK hand.
I prefer to bet out 1/2-3/4ths the pot on the flop here and I'm shutting down if I'm called.
The overbet isn't terribly scary, but pot control is important here as you're likely outkicked. As played, the turn is horrid and I fold to any bet. |
