Default $50NL - Toppair on monotone flop against minibetting donkey

Villain is 50/12 so could have almost any 2 right now. Bet flop to see where I stand? What if he was a solid player?

Personally, I lead the flop. He is as scared as you most of the time. Make a standard C-bet. If he calls. Revaluate on turn. I'd prolly C/C a brick and C/F scary cards.

bet this flop for sure. Even if his flush is not there yet what do you gain in letting him draw at it for free?

What was your thought here?

I would bet the flop and turn, and would blockbet on river...

My thought at the table: Considering he is a 50/12, a bet on this flop creates a big pot on a really dangerous board not knowing where your are (he calls prob with any draw or pair - or a made flush).

You absolutely must bet this flop, you can not allow lone clubs to draw for free.
