[ QUOTE ] no. [/ QUOTE ] insightful [/ QUOTE ] the BB has a big stack. There's a flush draw present. There could be a possible gut draw by JT. I think you need to bet it to start building a big pot. |

Re: Slowplay?
I wouldn't check the flop here because of the two diamonds. Just make a PSB.
On a rainbow flop you might consider it, but players who are aware of your style whill notice you check your big hands. I'm in favour of always betting. |

Re: Slowplay?
The only time to ever slowplay is when you have a deadlock on the hand and dont have a chance for much action because you have the deck crippled. If villain has been so agro, you think he will bluff. FINE.
I lead here %80 of the time. You get payed out much more often if you play your big hand like this. |

Re: Slowplay?
...ok so I've got QQ and I raised UTG. In fr, UTG and BB both generally call my raise with a pretty tight range of hands. This flop brings:
Q 8[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] 4[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] And I'm 2nd to act... Typically, it's important to lead flops in order to get full value out of weaker made hands. But what can I expect to get value out of here? There's only one Q left in the deck, so it's unlikely either villain has it, and KK/AA will typically 3-bet pf. I think the value I'll get out of a naked A or K that pairs the turn is significant. Also, I beleive weaker hands will be more likely to call a turn bet than a flop bet. Finally, even if a flush hits, I have the Q high redraw which may be good, and the boat redraw. I'm certainly not going to make checking monsters a habit, but when there are hardly and hands to get value out of, such as in this hand, does it make sense to give a free card? What if this flop were a rainbow? |

What if this flop were a rainbow? [/ QUOTE ] Then maybe. But still err on the side of betting out at 50NL. |
