Strategy for altered payouts ($100)
I play live casino SNGs for $100+$20 and $200+$25. The rake is awful as is the overall play, no better than Stars $6.5s. The twist is that the house steals $50 out of the 1st place prize for a bogus jackpot that has a real EV of maybe $5. So the payouts are 47.3%, 31.6% and 21.1% in the $100 event, somewhat closer to normal in the $200.
What, if any, changes might you make in adjusting? Oh, and don't forget to tip the dealer. |

My adjustment: Get a computer and play online instead of at crap, slow, high rake, B&M SNGs.
While the ICM adjustments might change the answers to your calculations slightly, the basic premise would remain the same. |

[/ QUOTE ] Being from Oz, you aren't squeezed into a couple bad online rooms full of serious American grinders. No, online games are much worse today and likely to decline further. So live play is my next move (a return, actually), much as I hate to go in that direction. At least they've banned smoking. And there's all those tells. This joint also runs a couple $500 + $35s every day. Maybe soon I'll move up. |

However, even if that is true, what do you reckon a sustainable ROI is at that live game? 10%? (keep in mind rake) Say that a $120 takes an hour, and you make 10%. $12 an hour isn't much to live on. Hell, 12-tabling the $16s for 10% would make you more money online (20 tables per hour x $1.60 profit per table) |

I think 8 tabling is prolly possible for every player (even for the slowest). So you have a better ROI at live play than 8 tabling? Damn, you must have a huuuge edge on these guys (i mean it serious, if it really is that way) |
