Default Working out pot odds to call a BB reshove

I can never seem to work out precisely the right odds I need to call when the BB shoves your bet all-in.

Here is a hand from a final table I was at yesterday...

Now as I have been playing agro, the BB's shove didn't indicate an especially strong hand. Also he was playing fairly loose so my read was that he was shoving with any Ax hand.

Assuming this is true and assuming that he didn't have an 8 also (say he had A-6) did I make a good call here?

Seems ok to me. You're getting somewhere in the ballpark of 2:1.

you are getting 2 to 1 on your money the question is not just pot odds which a lot of people disagree with. i dont like to put a huge % of my stack in with the worst of it. here i would call the pot odds plus his possible range plus this sends a message that im loose but am not afraid to put my chips in the pot.

Yeah.. I thiought it was a good call mathematicly, but it did leave me with a short stack and a terrible image and ended up getting knocked out in 7th.

It's just I see a lot of big name aggro players make loose calls like this all the time purely because the odds dictate it. I used to always lay down in situations like this, but now am willing to play a bit riskier to accumalate chips. My problem is that I suck at working out if I have the right price to call.

In this hand I did have 2-1 pot odds to call. Does that mean If I have anything better than a 33% chance of winning it would be a good call?

Could anyone plaease help in explaining how to translate pot odds into a % chance you need to win?

Something like...

If it costs 10,000 to win a 15,000 pot your hand needs to have x% chance of winning

...10,000 to win 20,000.. you need 33% (is that right?)

etc...

Yes, you are begging for trouble here. These guys are just waiting for a legitimate situation to pull a re-steal.
