Venetian or Caesars Tourney schedule
Venetian has a $125+50(RB) and Ceasars has a $80+50: both at noon.
I have a 8:35 flight going home, so I need the max time it takes of about 6~7 hours. For those that have played in them, which tourney has the best structure - (blinds doubling every 12 minutes is not good). And best turnout so that there will be dead money. thanks....VI |

Re: Venetian or Caesars Tourney schedule
I played in the Caesars noon tourney last year, and we chopped with a bunch of people left around 6pm. It took another 45 minutes to get paid, because they had to file 1099-G for everyone who won more than $650.
Because of the structure (40 minutes per level), 4500 chips for $130, you actually got a lot of play. However, if you go deep and no one wants to chop, you could miss your flight. There were people who wanted to chop so they could play the 7pm tourney. The Venetian poker room wasn't open at the time, so I can't comment on their structure or whether they just pay out in casino chips, which some tourneys do. By the way, you may get better response from the B&M Cardrooms forum. |

Re: Venetian or Caesars Tourney schedule
I played a caesar's palace 11pm tourney about 60-70 people and they were only through about half the field when I got knocked out 2-3 hours in. That being said if I had a limited amount of time I wouldn't be in a rebuy tourney

Re: Venetian or Caesars Tourney schedule
The 11pm Caesars is not relevant. The structure is faster and completely different than the noon one.
I played the noon game and I took 6th place. I think I was done around 7pm. Its a great tourney structure but I dont think you'd want to do it with an 8:30 flight. I didnt play the Venetian tourney, but from what I understand the structure is very good and similar to Caesars. The Sahara has a pretty good tourney with a good structure for $62 including rebuy. It starts at 11am. Its not as nice a room as Caesars or Venetian. The structure is a little faster than Caesars and Venetian but its better than most other cards rooms in Vegas. This would be the one I'd play if I had an 8:30 flight. |
