I wondered why the best college football show was on Tuesday afternoons on ESPNU. The general ESPN audience doesn't want 'smart' shows.

Because they don't have fancy graphics or loud, demonstrative claims from ex-players and no one is getting jacked up - no outlandish predictions, no scantily-clad women or celebrity interviews.

I'm amazed this show is produced at all, but whenever I happen to catch it, I always learn something.

Are you suggesting that Suzy Kolber should be wearing something slutty?

Anyway, I feel alot more pre-game shows would be better if they broke down film. They have enough ex-players/coahces on the set that they could break down film better than I ever could. I love watching film, I just wish there was more demand for it.

Yeah, it's f'd up that this is the only show that breaks down film. Well, I guess the ESPN pre-game show usually has one Jaws segment where he breaks down film, but that's about it. I could have sworn it aired a lot earlier in the week last season. But this season, it's always been on a Midnight PST. So I always DVR it but rarely got a chance to watch it before the games started.

I think I remember why I haven't watched the CBS (or any pregame show) all year.
Listening to Boomer Esiason talk about the Ravens "talking Reggie Bush out of his game" is real insightful.
Oh, and Greg Gumble is every bit as bad as his brother at play-by-play...just wait.
