saw an add for pokerstarts.COM about 5 days ago on espn
anyone else catch this or know anything about it? i am positive it said .com and i made sure to point it out to my friends watching tv with me. whats up with this?

they are on during the celtics game all the time, foxsports new england, i dont know why they dont say .net anymore here

There isn't a specific law against dot-com spots. Just intimidation that the Dept of Justice might come after you if you try it. I'm guessing that it's also possible to sneak through a dot-com spot past a station-manager who isn't looking closely enough or doesn't know the difference. The spot that the OP said was on ESPN could have been a local cable-insert, or a mistake where they lined-up the wrong spot to run. |
