Default CBB: MVC > Big 10 (and Big 12 and Big East)

Here are the conference rpi rankings through all of yesterday's games:

1. Pac 10 - .5909
2. SEC - .5878
3. ACC - rpi .5865
4. MVC - rpi .5857
5. Big 10 - rpi .5714
6. Big 12 - rpi .5668
7. Big East - rpi .5616

As you can see, the Missouri Valley Conference is > Big 10, Big 12, and Big East. I just think it's humorous after all the SEC - Big 10 cfb smack going around for awhile, that the MVC is superior to the Big 10 in cbb by a decent margin this season (and no, I'm not joking). If you don't believe this, go ahead and look at the head-to-head results for the Big 10 vs. MVC this year.

I think it's time to drop the "mid" when talking about the Mo Valley. They're a major power conference now.

The valley is definitely deeper than those leagues. An example of the leagues depth is Wichita State whom won @ LSU and @ Syracuse and was in the top ten is now 1-4 in conference play.

I think Creighton, Missouri St., UNI, and S. Illinois could all finish 3rd in the Big 10 or Big 12. Hell, Missouri St. beat Wisconsin on a neutral floor and lost in OT to Okie St on a neutral floor. They could possibly win the Big 10.

So much bias in the media....Last year, Bradley plays S. Ill last year in the MVC tourney final and its an ugly game according to the media because the score is in the 50s. Two big 10 teams play a similar tourney final and its a great game because of the physicalness and tough defense.

Same bias shown in football...tOSU beats Michigan 42-39 and its a classic game, a great shootout. Same thing happens in the Pac 10 and it's because they have no defenses.

I agree that the MVC is stronger than the Big10. I think tOSU is the best team among those two conferences, but the MVC is better. The Illini are undefeated verse the MVC this year .

BTW....please never use the rpi. It's a piece of garbage. I cannot buy that the selection committee uses it. Just shows why the committee does such a poor job.
