Re: Time for a big fold?
While I agree with you that against a good player there is little value in a bet, we can not be sure that villain is good, or?
River is extremely tough for me, but I think I hate c/c the least. |

Re: Time for a big fold?
I really wouldn't worry too much about hands like these. I have made a few rather silly bet/calls or check/calls on the river with hands that started out very strong and eventually became poopoo by the time the river was dealt. But it happens so infrequently that it makes a difference of like 0.01 BB/100 to your winrate or something like that.

Re: Time for a big fold?
On the river, if I managed overcome my previous excitement and adjust to what the river card had just done to my hand, I would probably check-call. It seems like the least distasteful option, like Oink mentioned earlier in the thread.
If I impulsively bet instead, I would probably call. Partly this would be to confirm for the benefit of everyone at the table that, yes, I had a great hand, and, yes, I got outdrawn on the river. Anyway, I like what Sweetjazz wrote, too. |

Re: Time for a big fold?
Folding the river would cost me far more in future hands than the one BB it costs me to see villain's full house, but I have tilt issues that many of you don't so [censored] you all.
I just check call the river by the way. Sorry, been drinking tonight. |
