PokerStars No-Limit Hold'em, $0.50 BB (6 handed) Hand History Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.com (Format: 2+2 Forums)

This guy who pushed I hadn't play with much (because I'm just starting my session) but i'm 6tabling and he's at 3 of my tables, so i'm sure he's solid. So am I just destined to go broke here? or can i fold. |

You don't have much left in this example so the call is good.

my initial raise would have been $14. Other than that it's standard...

This is from the SSNL FAQ:
[ QUOTE ] Q: Okay, so I raise 4xBB preflop with Kings and the player to my immediate left raises. Then another player goes all in. Do I fold? A: Depends on the opponents. Folding Kings preflop in fear of Aces isn't a liked topic in the forum. Here are some threads that deal with the subject of Kings Vs. potential Aces. Click here , here, and here. Sometimes laying Kings down preflop is correct. Most of the time it is not. There is roughly a 3.4% chance, at a full table, that your Kings are up against Aces. Make a decision and go with your instinct. [/ QUOTE ] |

You're getting, what, 7:4 or so? For the sake of argument, let's give Villain a range of AA-QQ and AK. That's 6 combos (AA) that have you crushed about 4:1, 6 combos you're beating about 4:1, 1 combo you're tied with, and 8 combos you're beating about 7:3 (is that right?; I think it's close). So I guess in that scenario you're actually a favorite and would be an idiot to fold, but I doubt the situation is quite that rosy.
Still, I think you'd probably need deeper stacks or a more solid read on Villain to think seriously about folding here. |

I think it's less clear-cut than conventional wisdom has it. But against NL50 unknowns I call unless I have reason to think they're both competent and unimaginative.
Incidentally, if you know anyone who regularly folds KK here, and if their reraising range is down to about TT+, AK+, then occasionally pushing 22-QQ against them here would be good. |
