Default How often do you play ace high hands like this?

Folded to me in SB, I open raise A[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] 9[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], BB calls.

Flop is 6[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]Q[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]3[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]

I bet, he calls.

Turn is 6[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]Q[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]3[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]3[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]

I check, he bets, I call.

River is 6[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]Q[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]3[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]3[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]3[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]

I check intending to call.

Depends on your opponent. If he is aggro/tricky, then its perfect I think. Versus a more passive player, I like a bet/fold on the turn much better, then a check and possible fold or call on the river.

Was your plan the same if the river were the 2[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]?

Looks fine. betting the turn can be good too.

I do this sometimes. Although I prefer to do it with a read that the player likes to get tricky and bluff HU in blind defense situations.

I take this line much more often than I think Leader does. Basically, every idiot on the internet loves to fire on the river. Decent players will know that you're either showing down A-high or have clubs, and so will not fire the river.

Probably too often. Sometimes I feel a little lost with Ace high hands. Sometimes I feel like a genius. And sometimes I feel like a moron. I think a read here is essential. Yesterday I called one guy down with a KQ on a A2236 board, but I called another guy down with AK, and he turned out to have a straight flush. Oops. He played it real weird, though.
