JJ 50NL with OESD flop
any thoughts ? I had just sat down... can I consider folding to the big flop raise?

thanks guys, I am getting blasted on another board for this- saying it's an easy fold- I just don't see it. [/ QUOTE ] First, in the future, note that NL50 hands should be posted in the microstakes NL forum. And, this isn't an "easy" fold. But, it's more of a fold than it is a push. His flop raise on a dangerous board isn't a bluff, it's often 88+, and you are a 2:1 dog to that range. You have to add a lot of other junk in there for this push with 0 FE to be +EV. Alot. The most likely hand you beat playing like this is JT, and you have two of the Jacks, diminishing that. Hoping he is overplaying AT is folly. |

Re: JJ 50NL with OESD flop
I don't see why postflop is so standard? This actually seems like a v.interesting hand to me.
It looks to me like a good majority of the time we're drawing to our 8-10 outs plus whatever fold equity a push gets us. By the looks of it that FE is almost zero, and we're not getting odds to draw, so a fold seems reasonable to me. A question for the SSNL BSDs: as played preflop, is a lead the right move on the flop? I can see arguments for both leading and checking, but my puny brain can't decide the right play. |

Re: JJ 50NL with OESD flop
TY. I didn't realize I posted in the wrong forum, my bad. And I see the argument for folding based on my 0 FE- if I am deeper stacked, maybe a different story. Still hard to fold, often his range is 88+ as you say, but not always? If you through a couple more hands in the mix ( TJ, AT ( a lag donk perhaps), perhaps even 77 )then it's alot closer.
