You blow him out of the pot for no real reason, he'd probably stick around with a 7 or 9 or flush draw, but you just made it impossible for him to continue. Make it 8, play it standard.

For double the pot? Not all shortstacks are retarded, and even retarded ones can fold most 9's there. You'd have to have some sort of read that he <3<3<3<3 chasing to make this a good bet.

If you have a read that villain often pushes with short stack then your play can be correct.

Meh, this is not a short enough stack try to push him out like that. If villain had $15 behind after the preflop action instead of the $50, I'd bet it all in, but just bet normal here. AJ is right with the bet sizing.
