You are suppose to lay still during the procedure. The machine tracks your eye movements and shutsdown if your eye moves. I am somewhat squimish when it comes to surgery but did not have problems remaining still.

Holy s#%^. I know a few people who have done Lasik, but this is the only negative thing I've heard about it. Stitches in her eyeball? YIKES. I'll stick with my contacts for now, thanks.

Serious complications are uncommon, but not ultra-rare. Like, in the 1% range.

I've seen horrible LASIK complications, but they are rare.
