Default AC - What should I play with my session roll?

Playing a day long outing to AC in a couple weeks.

Plan on bringing $700 with me. I like NL but don't think I should play 1/2 NL with $300 cap since I only have basically 2 buy-ins and that could go in a hurry if the poker gods are against me that day.

As far as limit, should I stick to 2/4, 3/6, or 6/12?

If I get stuck quickly and early, I'll proably play a tourny for a few hours of play and then come back to cash.

Thanks!

Any of those limits should be fine. Unless you suck or are very LAGgy, a one-day, 58-PTBB loss at $6/$12 can happen, but is quite rare. If $700 is a hard ceiling, you're right that you don't have enough to play $300-max no-limit.

I'd play the first half of the day at 3/6 or 6/12. After half the day, if your even or better, maybe play some 1/2 NL to end the day. If you're down, stay or go down to 3/6 or 2/4 as a last resort.

If you want to play NL, just buy in for $200 or $150. And $700 should be fine for a day of 6/12.

If you play no limit, just buy in short if you're concerned. Buy in for $100 at first and see where it goes.

For limit, you should be fine up to 6-12 for a day trip since you have more than 50 bets.

I play 1-2, bring $600 with me, buy in for $200. And have yet to have to hit the ATM. Out of 5 trips, I have one losing day. If you are a competant NL player and prefer NL just play 1-2.

buy in 1/2 NL for $200-$250. you'll have 3 buyins and that should suffice given the typical level of play at the 1/2 NL tables.

I hear the NL tables are pretty weak but haven't played them yet. Don't play 2/4 if you can help it, the rake is significant since it is the same as most higher limits. You can probably find a 4/8 game as well, which has a decent rake/reward ratio. If I were you I'd play that or 6/12.
