PSU changed my mind about the flop. No 9 [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] and all the redraws make this an easy fold.

Thanks for the comments, this hand was a bit of an enigma to me. I knew I played it wrong but I had a mental block on how I should've played it.

Preflop, the CO posted, which is why I limped. I don't know if I should've raised anyways, 99 has always been a nightmare hand for me. I decided to play it for set value.

Flop, this was probably a bad spot to take one off. I thought the backdoor straight draw made it better, but the redraws are bad.

Turn, I froze up here, when the button raised I put him on JJ or the straight, so I just called. Now 3-betting seems like the obvious right play.

River, I thought going for the C/R was too risky when the 8s paired. I thought there was too good of a chance of it getting checked through. I still think betting out was correct here.

Didn't notice that. That makes pre-flop and definite raise!!!

If you think there's a good chance he has QQ why are you 3betting the flop?

I still think you need to raise, but if you're going to play it like this (which isn't a huge leak at all, just a tiny bit sub-optimal IMO), you absolutely MUST be able to identify this as an easy fold on that flop.
