I use one per week. I don't shave on Fridays or weekends though. So 4 uses max.

LMAO! 100% agree!

When I worked in corporate recruiting (THANK [censored] GOD THOSE DAYS ARE OVER) I had to shave 5 days a week and I REFUSED to shave on fridays cause it was a dress down day.

When I used the Mach 3 I felt like 6-8 was reasonable per razor, although 2 is optimal. Then I bought the fusion, and I cant shave more than 3-4 times with each blade w/o awful pain. Now Im switching over o the schick titanium, my brother says its really good.

2-3 shaves. I only shave once or twice a week though, so by the time I get around to it my beard beats up the blades pretty quick.

Triple blades suck and they are expensive. Wet shaving with a double edged razor or straight is far superior (and cheaper).

From the first article:
[ QUOTE ]
Q: What is “wetshaving” and how is it different from the way most men – and women – shave today?

A: Wetshaving is just what the term implies – keeping your face (or for women, their legs) wet with plenty of hot water before, and during, the entire shave. In fact, you should always shave after a hot shower, not before (if you need to shave without taking a shower, washing your face with hot water for a few minutes will suffice). With a layer of hot water between your skin and the lather, the blade skims the surface instead of dragging on it, which is the main cause of irritation, redness, and “shave bumps”.

Wetshaving gives you more effective shaves and better looking skin. The hot water opens the pores of your skin and relaxes your facial muscles, and it softens your whiskers for more effective cutting. Believe it or not, but your whiskers are tougher than the edge of a razor blade, and shaving “dry”, or mostly dry as with the vast majority of shaving creams, foams, and gels on the market, means you’re literally tugging on each and every hair on your face instead of neatly slicing it at the skin’s surface and moving on without irritating your skin. The key to proper wetshaving is keeping your face as wet as possible at all times during the shave. Even if you keep your current tools and routine, you’ll marvel at how much closer and more comfortable shaving can be when you keep your face hydrated at all times with lots of hot (not scalding) water.

[/ QUOTE ]

Bingo! I just shave during the shower. For the ballers out there, I recommend going to a professional barber at least once, to see how it's done properly.

Also, The Mach3 that vibrates actually helps. I thought it would be a load of crap but it def gives a smoother shave than a non-battery mach3.

[/ QUOTE ]

I find that orange strip on the mach 3 to be a pretty accurate gauge as when to switch up the blades.

I don't grow much facial hair, so I can get a ton of uses. Even after not shaving for a week or two weeks, it only grows to a certain length and it's pretty thin.

Gilette blades last about 30 uses for me too. I'm not the fussiest with the blades but I toss them when they're noticably blunt.

Or do you mean those crappy things that come in bags of 20?
