Default Razz hand from HORSE ring game

How did I do here? I was thinking about re-raising on sixth but decided not to. For some reason I had a bad feeling that he had a better hand. Not sure why this guy came to the table acting like a complete maniac. He was raising and reraising a lot on really poor hands. He limped with a queen in the door and called a reraise with the same hand. He also proceeded to call thru 5th street after catching K J. He also came in with several other questionable holdings such as 9 in the door. He was also playing fairly erratic in some of the other games as well, but I had only observed him for 1 complete rotation through the games. Should I have gotten away from this? Or was my play correct.

You would be raising sixth, not re-raising. And yes raise sixth fer cryin' out loud. The only thing that beats you is A2 in the hole. You beat everything else. Get your money in there. And raise the river. Everything else is pretty straightforward.

With that play history (and in HORSE where you regularly encounter very, very crappy Razz players) I would've raised the hell out of 6th there.

He has to've started with the nuts on 3rd street to have you beat. A super loose player almost never has precisely (A 2) in the hole in this spot, especially since he just called your completion on 3rd street. I would've raised him on 6th.

You made baby Jesus cry when you didn't raise 6th street till the cows come home.

(Am I allowed to say that since I am jewish? Oh heck, Jesus was Jewish - I'm safe!)

Good news I pretty much thought the same thing.

Bad news my gut feeling was correct. Villian and I started with the exact same hand.

Total pot: (8.60 BB)

Results

Hero: [Ah 3c 2c 6d Kh 5h Qs] (Lo: 6,5,3,2,A)

Seat 8: [As 2h 3d 6c 4d 5c Ad] (Lo: 5,4,3,2,A)

Not sure why I had this feeling, because the guy was playing like a complete tool. It did however save me some money

I think you are misunderstanding me here. I am not defending how I played the hand. I also agree with yours, and everyone else's analysis of what I should have done. It pleases me greatly that I reached the same conclusions. It means that I am improving. You guys were reinforcing what I thought already. I played this hand the way I did for reasons that were not correct or logical, based on the information that was available. When I said the bad news was that the villian did indeed have a monster, and that I lost the hand. I was not defending how I played the hand based on the results. I hope this clears things up a little bit.
