Flop 4 ways. Pot $140. Flop: 3 [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]A [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]9 [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] Hero leads for $120. Villain calls. Rest fold. Re: AQ - block this river?
i think he has the lone Kc alot of the time, so my natural instinct is to check-call here and induce bluffs and possibly value bets from weaker aces.

Re: AQ - block this river?
Seems pretty thin. Don't mind it but you definetly can't call if raised (barring read/tell).

[/ QUOTE ] Would he call a PSB with the stiff K [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]? He should know even if he hits, most of the time he's not getting paid. However, a lower ace would've logically bet the turn and shown down the river? The more I think about this, the more I can see villain with the AxK [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] a good % of the time? But a hand like that can't raise the river. |

Re: AQ - block this river?
Why, is dumping the 2nd nuts that clear a fold here? If so, do you think that you may be easily bluffed when scary boards hit?
And why can't he raise you here with the Kc. Knowing you don't have the nut card makes this a very opportune spot for a bluff and his bet that much stronger. |

Re: AQ - block this river?
This isn't so much a block as an incredibly standard v-bet. Maybe bet 300 on river, otherwise looks good. Betting turn is better.
