Hero is CO with [As 3c Jh Ah Ac] Round 1: (30) UTG calls. Hero raises 40 to 60. Button folds. SB calls. BB folds. UTG calls. SB takes 3. UTG takes 2. Hero discards Jh. [/ QUOTE ] ok, so i'm totally clueless about this one... why are you drawing 1 to trips and not 2? this is just a deception move to represent 2 pair? |

What about this laydown? Tournament: Pot Limit 5 Card Draw (10/20) (converter) I have found myself throwing away winning 2 pair several times recently... so many schleps are willing to value bet unimproved big pairs.. even OOP. Re: Value Betting in PL draw (tourney)
2nd one seems a little tight. If the cutoff is calling and drawing 4, tough to expect much from him. On top of which, it seems to be genetically ingrained in newer players to bet pots checked to them if thats the only way they can win.
The CO could come to this conclusion easy enough and call with a biggish pair. (which fits his original check postdraw) Does that happen 1 in 5 times? It might be close, but I'd have thrown in my 40 chips. |
