Poker Stars $10 tourney helping a friend

Blinds 20K-40K, avg stack 700K...SB 900K stack makes it 120K, u have A9o in the BB, stack is also about 900K...11 players left, 1376 started...SB seems like one of the better players at the table, but dont have much of an overall read.

I like a shove here, but Daniel Negreneau would probably call. Thoughts?

This is an easy shove.

I agree that a call is actually much worse than a fold preflop.

If an ace flops we are 100% going to lose our stack against a bigger ace so what is the point of smooth calling preflop? To ensure that we get bluffed off of the best hand when we indeed whiff or hit 2nd pair? To let the villains second best hand that would have mucked pf catch up on us?
