Default Barbershop singing group beaten up...

Hmm...

I really don't know what to think about this...at all. Is it funny? Is it sad? Is it both? I mean...the whole thing's surreal.

[ QUOTE ]
Members of the a cappella Baker's Dozen were performing at a party in San Francisco at the new year when their rendition of the "Star Spangled Banner" apparently sparked taunts and threats from fellow partygoers.

...

"Besides any bruising or scrapes to the face, the main injury I suffered was I broke my jaw in two places," one of the singers, 18-year-old Sharyar Aziz, was quoted as saying.

[/ QUOTE ]

Hmmmmmm...I wonder if there is more to this story than that little Yahoo news blurb?

Edit: Barbershop quartets make me feel like kicking ass, too.

If they had only sung The Vasectomy Song instead, they would have played to a standing ovation.

This isn't a barbershop group, its a college pop a cappella group.

Possible, but just as likely some jackass took offense to someone from the Middle East singing the Star Spangled Banner, IMO. After reading the more detailed account, it sounds like some of the guests were just idiots.
