Go for the Ahigh showdown?
Is this is a easy laydown on the river here?
$10/$20 game on WPEX I am in the MP with AQ[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] UTG raises, I 3ball, everybody folds and UTG caps, I call Flop 9[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] 5[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] T[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] UTG bets I call Turn 5[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] We both check River K[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] UTG bets and I call |

Re: Go for the Ahigh showdown?
extremely easy laydown. You're ahead of AJ and that's it.
EDIT: Although this is player dependent. against the right player you can call this if you have a read he caps very light. I would need one extremely specific read though. |

Re: Go for the Ahigh showdown?
For some reason when this happens I either auto think AK or an overpair looking to enduce a bet on the turn. I would call for information reasons, but RARELY do I expect to have the best hand on the river.

Re: Go for the Ahigh showdown?
This is a really easy laydown. I dont think the type of player that caps AJ slows down on the turn here and that is pretty much the only reasonable hand you beat here.

Re: Go for the Ahigh showdown?
I almost always find a reason to see a showdown HU with the nut no pair. I should probably stop that.
