KK vs a shortie
Villain is loose and bad, though nothing extreme.
Tough spot against a shortie. The stack sizes make this hard to play, and it seems short stacks are willing to bluff the rest of their chips, or call the rest off, with any sort of hand. I hate giving them credit here. What do you make of his flop bet? Part of me thinks he wants a call, and the other parts thinks he is testing the waters, hoping for a cheap fold. Re: KK vs a shortie
Raise a bit more preflop, ordinarily I like to size my bets to go for the bigger stacks at the table, but if your re-raising a short stack then you need to try to get enough of there stack that there is 1 pot bet left on the flop.
I like preator's line given stacks, raising all in only really has merit when villain has JJ+ and it lets him get away, if he has these hands he likely backs off on the turn. These spots with short stacks are fustrating, they use weak assed bets to put you in difficult decisions for there whole stack using only a fraction of there own. |

Re: KK vs a shortie
I dont like calling here. His weak bet is really annoying, but calling is just putting you in a tough spot on the turn. If you call and check turn, he bets again a lot of the time. If he checks turn, do you V-bet river, C/C or C/F?
