The river fold is not standard, especially without a read. You're getting 8 to 1. I think you win often enough.

You bet because you thought you had the best hand on the river. Don't fold for one more bet. He could have paired a JT, A, K and put you on a missed draw of some sort or more than likely only been playing his cards and paying no attention to your actions.
