Rivered nut flush, but board paired Aces. Abort c/r?
Villain is 57.5/17.5/0.8 after 40 hands
I'm 20.4/16.3/oo after 48 hands at this table. I've caught some cards and gotten paid off well because of my aggression so far. My plan was to c/r villain on river, but his overbet made me nervous (I hadn't seen him overbet a pot in 40 hands and he's played almost 60% of them). PokerStars No-Limit Hold'em, $0.25 BB (5 handed) Hand History Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.com (Format: 2+2 Forums) Hero ($79.55) BB ($33.10) UTG ($27.45) MP ($9.70) Button ($20.95) Preflop: Hero is SB with 9[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], K[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]. 2 folds, Button calls $0.25, Hero completes, BB checks. Turn: ($0.75) 4[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] (3 players) Hero bets $0.5, BB folds, Button raises to $1.5, Hero calls $1. River: ($3.75) A[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] (2 players) Hero checks, Button bets $4, Hero ??? Follow through with the c/r or just call? |

cant go wrong with a call here, need a read you can trust to raise.

Re: Rivered nut flush, but board paired Aces. Abort c/r?
I'd call it for $4 w/the nut flush. BUT, he bet on the Turn with? 44 for a set? Or maybe A4 for two pair? He hits a FH on the river... I'd take my chances and call it...

Re: Rivered nut flush, but board paired Aces. Abort c/r?
Villian is really loose. Does anyone think he could have a straight?
I don't know the best way to interpret the overbet, but I've seen a lot of people overbet the river with questionable holdings on boards like this. Like a straight or just trips (although I would eliminate trip A from his range because of his turn raise). Not saying I would act on this without a read, but I would not be surprised at all if he turned over 78. Anyway, I usually just call. |

River is not an overbet. He basically just pots the river, an overbet would be a shove. That being said I'm a wuss and def. flat call river.
