Default Prob% Flop Is Paired

Anyone have any data on how often the flop comes up paired? I sure see it a heck of a lot. I'd venture to say its in the 20-30% range. It seems quite frequent.

Thanks,
Evan Evans

1 - (48/51 * 44/50) =~17.18%

The number does include trips though.

Here is the answer without trips .

The probability the flop contains a pair of 2's and an additional card is :

4c2*48/52C3

Since there are 13 ranks of pairs , the probability the flop contains exactly a pair is 4c2*48*13/52C3= 0.1694 or 16.9%

Trying to get a better handle on these calculations, please bear with me, is the following correct:

Playing 6 handed I hold an Ace and from betting pre-flop I am significantly sure that nobody else has an Ace, the probability that the flop will produce a set of A's is

3c2*37 / 40c3 = 0.011235 or approx 1.1%?????

Which represents the combination of ways two of the three remaining aces can come out divided by the total number of combinations that can be flopped?

Thanks for all the help
