In my weaker moments, I wish the Mets would have won the NLCS so that this could go down as perhaps the greatest catch in baseball history.

Calvin Johnson made this crazy diving catch of a ball thrown behind him at N.C. State. I think this was Calvin's freshman year in 2004.

Although a Vikings fan - Michael Vick's 50+ yard run to beat Minnesota in overtime in (I think) 2003 was pretty damn impressive, even by his standards.

To answer the OP, I went to an Oilers game when I was a kid and watched Earl Campbell break at least 15 tackles and drag about 6 guys into the end zone in the most amazing display of sheer willpower I've ever seen. Every once in a while you see the play on an old highlight show, with Earl's jersey being ripped off and all these guys hanging off of him.

Maybe slightly off-topic... but Earl Campbell links on youtube:

Steve Blake stealing the ball from Jason Williams and scoring right before halftime in a MD-Duke game in 2002. The teams were #1 and #3 in the nation at the time.

in high school dude hit a sick bicycle kick from about 22 yards (thats fairly far for a normal shot, just outside the box) on rope in the top corner. no goalie in the world coulda stopped it. i was standing about 5 feet away from the kid.

my dad was filming the game and sent it to the kid.

Any chance you could get this on youtube?

It was at the Dean Dome. I was seated directly behind the basket.

david ortiz walkoff hr in the 2004 alds to end the series vs. the angels. never been in that type of atmsophere before. a close second would be adam vinatieri's "snow bowl" kick to beat the raiders, even though i dont like the pats and the weather was miserable. would much rather have been watching from my recliner.

Not most impressive, but most memorable was Robin Ventura's walk-off grandslam single in the 14th inning of a playoff game.
