Re: Supernova easy, Supernova elite impossible
[ QUOTE ]
My point is that a someone who generates 200,000 vpps per year gets the same amount of FPPS as someone who generates 900,000. That seems silly to me. [/ QUOTE ] O RLY? It looks like they get 4.5 times as many FPPs. |

Re: Supernova easy, Supernova elite impossible
[ QUOTE ]
Almost $10k in milestone rewards (after purchasing with FPP's) $24k worth of FPP's (about 1.5 million of them) [/ QUOTE ] what is the difference between the milestone rewards and the 2nd one? I know you can purchase bonuses with FPP like this, http://www.pokerstars.com/fpp/store/...l/vip-bonus-2/, but what else are you referring to? |

So you are not getting 4.5x more than the person who is just SN (Nevermind - I see you are talking about actual Points earned, not rate - at first i thought you were talking about getting them at a quicker rate) |

However, it is my firm belief that the very heart and soul of the pokerstars community is mostly comprised of players that will earn between 200,000-600,000 VPP's per year. [/ QUOTE ] Define heart and soul?... the average poker player is worth about $100/month in rake... |

Re: Supernova easy, Supernova elite impossible
[ QUOTE ]
O-Doyle's idea of giving FPP discount prices for the WSOP-ME or PCA or whatever if you reach 400k or 500k is probably the strongest idea of all. If I want to buy myself in to one of the events I'll obviously have enough FPP's to do it. But I really am not getting a much better price for doing that then for just receiving the cash or some other item. [/ QUOTE ] Thanks, Bob. Others had similar ideas as well. Stars objective is to spend the least they can while giving players enough incentive to play way more than they normally do. It appears that play at Stars has picked up dramatically, but will players who are shooting for these higher levels be able to keep it up? My 120k hands challenge in 6 weeks at True was a sprint, to accumulate 300k VPPs or more in a year is more like running a marathon. (Especially at lower limits) This feat is not the same depending on how you are trying to get there. For example, would not a player who 10-12 tables $1/$2, 6-8 hours a day to hit 500k VPPs be more valuable to Stars than a player who plays 5K HU matches to get there? I would argue yes. These players at lower limits who give that big of time committment should be awarded better I think. Only if Stars could somehow not only figure VPPs accumulated, but also the time spent and number of tables played in the equation too. Stars will have to be convinced that some additional incentive is in order and the only way that could happen is for enough players email them and tell them they feel that for 300k VPP levels or higher that they deserve some additional incentive. Maybe the incentive does not need to be as generous as what I first proposed, but I do believe it would be Stars best interests to offer something additional to players. For example, someone hitting the 200k VPP level might get a 50k FPP discount off a major touney package. 300k VPP level - 150k FPP discount off a tourney package 400k VPP level - 300k FPP discount 500k VPP level - 500k FPP discount 750k VPP - a free WSOP or PCA I got fired back up and thought I might give the 500k VPP level a shot, but after one week I realize how tough and demanding that would be for me. If there were an additional incentive in it for me that might keep me on pace. Bob, I thought you was going to give Elite a shot. Do you still think it is possible? |
