I would have led out on turn. What do you put him on?

The turn is playing scared, this could be any spade draw, any J as i see it, maybe he doesnt respect UTG raises and has KJ or JT or something of the kind but to put him on 98s is pretty nitty mate, i mean for gods sakes Mr Lag could be doing the old 'he's on AK' and trying to find out on the turn (which he does as you play it). As previously said fire $58 yourself.

As played -
definately a call and probably a call on river depending on action/card.

Call and re-ev river, only hand you're worried about here is 89 spades or TJ.

His bet is weak, meaning he could have AJ, QT, or Tx spades, and is trying to find out where he's at etc.

Call, check river and decide based on timing and river card etc.

Call and see what happens on the river. Scary flop and scary turn. But he could easily have a draw, a set, 2 pair.....so I can see its a tought spot. I would call turn and then if he fires again hard on the river I would probably fold and pick a better spot.
