I hate spots like this facing a check/minraise.

Lately ive felt like calling a c/minraise is a leak in my game, since i'm forced to call another large bet the next street when im most likely behind.

Obviously i think you should fold turn, you've repped an Ace, and he doesnt seem to fear that. Alot of people here will call your bets weaksauce (2/3's bet) but i personally think it's okay if this is your common betsize, you can look at it like this - youve actually saved yourself a bit of money here by doing so (IMHO).

The way you've played it i feel the turn is a fold, and river is definately a fold. I put your villian on AKh AhKx and two pair plus. Most likely AQ but depending on villian A9 777 etc..

Your problem is exactly the same one ive encountered we call minraises because we feel a minraise isnt a representation of strength but a donky move and dont respect it.

As said, i think his range is AK 2pair+ (AK, AQ, maaaaaaaaaybe A9 read dependent, 777) , you are behind everything, you said he's solid, you've gotta believe him till he starts to get outta line mate

Ok, here are my thoughts.
Preflop range.
(AQ)-,TT-,KQ-KT,QJ-Q9 and all kinds of SC. That`s a pretty wide range + some added scary hands with the Q´s.

Flop:
(TT-)77, AQ-, KQ, QJ-Q9, SCh.

Turn:
AQ-, SCh,77,99

River:
Pretty much the same.

The only hand which makes real sense is 77, which beats me.
AQ+ normally reraises, AJ won`t bet river. No Q would raise the turn. But also a raised Turn Draw?

Is anything wrong with my thinking?

Turn is an easy fold, read all the posts about 1 pair hands on the turn not being good enough.

[ QUOTE ]

No reads on Villain, but i think he`s pretty solid.

At first i thought, this would be an easy fold, but after reviewing HH i couldn`t get a hand he would play like that.

I think he could play AQ just like this, maybe 77 or 99.

your biggest mistake was betting turn, you get called from zero hands that beat you, so why bet it? I think if he had a draw he'd raise flop. So check the turn and evaluate his actions (fold).

Obviously fold to his small raise.
