AQs flush draw vs. unknown 3/6
Never played with villain before.
Villain has $367 and I cover. Hero is dealt A [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]Q [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] in the BB. UTG calls $6, villain calls $6, CO raises to $15, Button folds, SB folds, Hero calls $9, UTG calls $9, villain calls $9. Flop: ($60) 7 [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]8 [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]J [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] Hero bets $60, UTG folds, villain calls, CO folds Turn: ($180) 2 [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] Hero bets $100, villain calls. River ($480) 3 [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] Hero checks I don't really know how to play big draws like this. Should I have c/r on the flop? What should I have done on the turn? |

Re: AQs flush draw vs. unknown 3/6
with such small action preflop I 3-ball this, but calling is certainly not wrong.
flop lead is alright, but you need to be able to follow up such a strong move there with another strong move later, or else fishy fellows will outcall you with the nuts AKA any pair. turn play is meh, what are you trying to accomplish here? He's not folding a jack or better to a bet that size after you bomb the flop, and if he's drawing you're still ahead. Either bomb it again, or check. C/r can work on the turn if he leaves himself enough to fold to it, but otherwise c/f or c/c, depending on the odds you're getting for ~12 outs. |

Yeah push or fold turn. Push will scare the living [censored] out of him.
