6 Handed. Blinds 150/300
MP with 1830. CO with 2195. BTN with 2510. SB with 3340. She with 3635. UTG with 1490. She: Q[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] A[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] Pre-flop: 1 folds. MP goes all-in for 1830. CO calls. 2 folds. She....?? Something I haven't considered much before, but how does AQ stack up against 2 all-ins? I ran it thru poker stove w/ MP pushing 15% and CO calling 10% of hands. It gave me aprox 36% equity. Is this enough? |

i would fold this. you still have a nice stack, and your chance of going busto is way too big here. I would porbably call this with JJ+ and maybee AKs

I really don't know how bad the play at the $1.10's are, but I can't believe they are bad enough that AQs becomes strong enough of a hand to call two AI's. First pusher might be pushing a little wide as he's down to 6BB, but I doubt he's to the point of pushing utter crap. The caller is at 7BB, and most people, even at low stakes don't call off their stack without something in their hand. I really can't see how neither of these players don't have at least a pocket pair. You could get lucky and have one person pushing with KQ and the second calling with AJ, but I don't see a good reason to put your 11BB stack in a position to be crippled. I'd have a hard time calling with AK here (I probably would, but it wouldn't be easy, and I wouldn't like it). Let these two knock each other out, and find a better spot to put your chips in. Preferably one with either a better hand, or ability to open the betting. |

Cool, thanks. I have just recently been learning how to play AK and am not really sure about the strength of AQ so I really appreciate the detailed advice.

I'd much rather be pushing w/ AQ. I'm with PTB--JJ+ and AKs

This is a pretty simple fold IMO.

Usually the caller has a strong hand, even if the pusher doesn't, so like everyone said I'd fold here.
She - I'd suggest playing with pokerstove some and put people on ranges to see how often AQ would win. I know that helped me with a lot of situations, plus it's free. |
