Maybe you could start with why you opened a second account instead of using the one you already had.

Under FTP's theory, he was playing you so that you could cash the money out through your legit account...

[/ QUOTE ]

thats incorrect, he was able to cash out, as said by him, by changing his payment process...immediately. No need to play me.

The reason for funnelling dirty funds through clean accounts is not because you literally cannot withdraw the money from the dirty accounts. The reason for doing it is to hide the origin of the money. This is a basic example of money laundering. You actually might want to contact a lawyer, because you might be in violation of some money laundering statutes. I can pull them up for you if you want.

why does he need to hide the origin of his money? it doesnt make sense? I played a guy online, I'm a victim to situation, and wasn't participating in anything unethical, or wrong.

You didn't just play a random guy, you played your long time friend on a regular basis, who just happens to call 1k bets on the river with Q high.

Give it up. You got more than you deserved.

yeah right buddy. I dont play his hand for him, and secondly, i dont have a hand in his finances or know his account balance. Its not my responsibility to make sure the people I play are legit, and am unable to do that with the resources I have. Its fulltilts responsibility to not let these scammers ruin it for the rest of us. It eats into their profits, making htem charge us more in rake. Think what you want, I don't care.

He needed to hide the origin of the money because he got it through credit card fraud. You know, one of Congress's official purposes in passing the recent UIGEA (Unlawful Internet Gambling Enforcement Act) was to prevent money laundering that they suspected online gambling sites were being used for.

That's why many of us are upset at FTP for letting you walk away from this with some of your balance intact. There needs to be a hardline taken against players like you who cheat not only the sites, but as you point out, raise the costs to the legit players, like me.

You only sound like OJ now, playing the victim in some twisted perverted way.
