The no names in hand histories is a good thing. Please do not cave to the 2+2 minority to allow them to use their software.

Agreed. Please do not fold to the "HALFBOTS". The use of player records from hand histories and HU displays does not make a bot. It may make the player a bot, therefore my description "Halfbots".

In any case <font color="red">IT JUST IS NOT POKER!!!! </font> <font color="black"> </font>

There are many of us who prefer a site that does not permit or encourage PokerTracker histories and HU displays. We would rather play poker. I understand that many of the people who are using them are making a good living doing so, therefore object to anyone suggesting that it is unsportsmanlike and an unfair advantage. But that is the case.

I prefer using my knowledge of the game, the math of poker, the ability to read players, and the other aspects of the real game of poker, rather than electronic data acquisition and display, to play the game of poker as it is intended.

Stick to your guns on this, please.

WSX, thanks again for rake free poker. A few points/suggestions:

1. Please add names in HH. Make it like stars where you can't get them til end of session or something. I believe that names in HH is the only way to assure an honest game online.

2. Take 5% of rake for marketing.

3. Take 5% of rake for a mandatory sports betting account. I am not a sports better. I never will be. You will never make any money off me unless you do this. I want you to make money because I want you to keep doing this. It would probably be fun to. Just require us to bet that 5% at least once before we can cash it out.

First off, I really enjoy playing on your site and appreciate your dedication to improving it. I let all my poker buddies know about you guys and want to see WPEX get to the next level. That said, I'm willing to help out in any way (user testing, user group, etc.) so please PM me if you could use my assistance.

The platform is greatly improved. I haven't had a disconnect in quite a while. Nice job!

Recommendations going forward:

1. Find a way to allow backup of user notes. Notes are extremely valuable to a serious player that tracks betting paterns. They should not be lost when reloading the application. This is a very serious deficiency!

2. Fix the problem that causes us to sit out the next hand after winning one. This happens frequently; if you're not quick to press the "i'm back" button after a win, you're sitting out the next hand. Poker players hate missing a hand.

3. Come up with some sort of reward system for players that get new folks to make a deposit and play. Cash is great, but FPP's would even be a good start.

4. Allow a 5 minute break per hour for your tournaments. It's hard for some of us to go 2+ hours without a bathroom break.

That's it for now.

WPEX notes are stored on your hardrive under programfiles/WPEX/notes.txt or something like that. Back that file up to a different directory.

I did some daydreaming while I was in the shower. Here are some more thoughts.

I would make a lot of money per hour if WPX had a party poker type player base(obviously)

How do we get there?

1. It must be worthwhile for WSX to build their player base. A few options: 1-5% off the top or 5% for a mandatory sportsbetting account or whatever else works for them. As long as I get 90%+ back I am happy. I've propped on some [censored] sites with no players for that much.

2. We need to get players. Here are some ideas.

-Create an affiliate program. 1% of rake or something. The affiliate program drove party growth, and it will work for WSX too.
-Print up flyers for us to distribute at casinos, colleges, bars etc... On the flyer have a table showing how much per hr you get back for each limit. Put a tracking code on there to give us incentive to distribute them. Make a free $100 offer or something, with a real small disclaimer on the back that it comes from their rake rebate. Figure out some way that it won't cost you anything.
- Definitely take some money from the rake for marketing. 2+2ers are greedy nits, but we also understand the need for fresh money.

Poker players, we need to work to make this happen. Back before internet poker, pros had to work hard to keep games going. Party poker days were nice, but they are gone. All the party donkeys are still out there, and more are turning 18 every day. We need to make sure they know where to play.

I think making people sportsbet does not make sense for increasing traffic. So they put 5 or 10 percent that you have to bet. How does that increase traffic? It gives them the chance to increase revenue, but not traffic. Mike hits the best way to increase traffic. Affiliates and marketing increase traffic. Since marketing is out why not affiliates. We will never though know what wsex is doing to increase traffic or if they even care to. They may only care about running a stabile site and wait for traffic as long as it takes. We assume as players that they would want to increase traffic, but they may not find it to be profitable to do what is neccessary to increase traffic. Only they would know their bottom lines.

I further believe that until they can find a way to get traffic to sng's and mtt's they cash games will not grow. Big sites have huge action on these games. A new player goes to a sng's and anything over $5 will be sitting a while waiting. Cash games are robust compared to sng's and mtt's, which are the gateway to a lot of cash games player to get their feet wet.

LOL you totally miss the point. You ask why would they care if traffic grows? My point is that they need a reason!! Thats why I want them to make some sort of profit from increased trafic and volume.

Edit to add: For this thing to work long term it needs to be worthwhile for everyone involved. It is obviously worthwhile to us, the players, as long as we can get some loose money coming in. It needs to be worthwhile to WSX to actively promote and market their site. Hence a small rake of some sort. Making it a mandatory sports betting account makes it a lot more fun than just taking 5-10%, and it still maintains the "free" appeal.

I use PT and PAHUD on sites that allow them, but I do not use them on WSEx. The problem is that some people do use them here. WSEx has stated that they are against their use, but has done nothing to render the name grabbing programs useless. In my opinion, they should either allow them, or prevent their use from a technical standpoint. Either way, I don't care, but pick a stance, stand by it, and enforce it.

I [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] WSEx, and am encouraged by the increase in traffic. I also [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] sports betting. But I suck at it, and it is a drain on my bankroll, so I quit doing it. But now that I am at WSEx, I don't mind throwing a few bones down on a parlay here and there, trying to get lucky.

the point is would an increase poker traffic bring in more revenue through it's sportsbook to exceed the expense of running a large secure and reliable poker site. I think most here would "think" that with added traffic wsex would have added profit to cover the added expense, but only they would know for sure what their numbers are. To assume this is the case isn't valid due to not knowing the total nature of it's inner workings as a business.
