VPIP and PF at Full-Ring???
Just wondering what is considered a solid VPIP and PFR in a 9-10 max game compared with 6-max.... I have consistently played 6-max over the past year and am unsure what I should be looking for in myself and others concerning 9-10 max... I might be heading to Vegas shortly and obviously be playing some full-ring cash games out there, and would like to practice online before I head out there..... As of now, I try to play a TAG style of around 18/14, what would be comparable at full-ring???
Also, how should I be playing suited connectors and small to mid-pocket pairs early to mid position??? Thanks..... |

Re: VPIP and PF at Full-Ring???
I play like 13/7, but I am playing a lot of tables when I'm playing mid stakes FR.
basics for someone playing near my stats: SCs- fold in EP and MP, open raise in LP small pairs-limp pairsin EP, open raise in MP+ bigger(99+)- open EP+ obviously you can play more agrro for sure, it just depends on flow of game. |

Re: VPIP and PF at Full-Ring???
In my 500 hands of 5/10NL full ring I ran 15/8. I have no idea if that's close to optimal.
Basically I just nitted it up in EP. Raise 99 and up, limp lower pairs, raise AK and AQs, limp some other suited broadway stuff (although i probably wouldn't limp the suited broadways if the game was really tight aggresive). You should sort of know how to play from the later positions from your 6 max experience, although you should probably tighten up your raising range a bit still. I think you can profitablly limp more hands in late position because there will often be 3+ limpers in the pot before you. This makes it much more profitable to see cheap flop with SC's, whereas in 6 max limping SC's is usually a bad play. Just use your head and think about why you're making the play you're making and you should be fine. |
